Returning referees must recertify every year. The process is administered by Cal South in compliance with US Soccer. You must complete the process before you can be assigned to matches after July 1st. If you are not on the approved CalSouth 2027 referee list, we cannot assign you to any matches.
The Cal South returning referee recertification checklist is a very helpful resource. This is especially true if you are a Regional, National, or Emeritus Referee. Information is also provided for futsal and beach soccer, as well as the referee assignor certification process.
The certification process can be confusing. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need assistance.
